Automatically receive new updates
Enter your license key or purchase code on the settings page of the plugin to enable the auto-updater. When new versions are available (and your site meets the minimum requirements), updates will show up on the default WordPress update page in the Administrator Dashboard at Dashboard > Updates.
If you don't see an update available, press the Check Again button.
If you want WordPress to update the plugin fully automatically as soon as a new version becomes available, go to the Plugins screen. For each plugin there is an "Automatic update" column with a link to enable or disable auto-updates per plugin.
Click the action link to enable auto-updates for that specific plugin.
Update the plugin manually
If you have trouble updating through the auto-updater (some multisite setups have issues), you can download the ZIP package directly and install it by hand. The source depends on your channel.
Direct customers (Freemius)
- Log in at customers.freemius.com.
- Open My Licenses or My Downloads and download the latest plugin ZIP.
CodeCanyon customers
- Log in at codecanyon.net.
- Open Downloads from your account menu and grab the plugin package.
Installing the ZIP
Install the downloaded ZIP in your WordPress Admin Dashboard via Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin. Select the ZIP package and press Install Now.
Note: Do not deactivate or uninstall the current version. WordPress will replace it automatically with the new one. If you do want to uninstall the current version first, make sure the Delete settings on Uninstall setting on the Advanced tab is disabled, otherwise your configuration will be wiped.
A note on release timing
Updates are rolled out gradually for both Direct and CodeCanyon customers. If you don't see a new release yet, it's likely still propagating. All sites should be able to update within about a week of release.
If you've manually downloaded the plugin ZIP recently, it isn't always the latest version. Minor updates are mainly distributed through the built-in WordPress auto-updater rather than as fresh download packages.
CodeCanyon customers: major releases on CodeCanyon can lag the Direct release by up to two weeks. If you need the very latest build immediately, use the in-plugin auto-updater rather than re-downloading from CodeCanyon.
